Yarn Dyeing Workshop
When:

What you get:
An introduction to the behind the scenes of indie yarn dyeing and an explanation of different methods of dyeing.
A 100g skein of yarn in either fingering weight or DK weight prepped and ready to dye.
Pre-mixed acid dyes in our By The Sea palette ready for you to apply to your yarn.
Additional skeins prepped to dye can be purchased on the day for £15 at the studio, we accept both cash and card payments on site. After the workshop we set the dye, soak, dry and twist your yarn and have it ready for you to collect the following week.
Hot drinks, squash and biscuits provided.
What you need to bring:
Just yourself, but please wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting messy if a little dye goes astray, alternatively you could bring an apron to wear whilst dyeing.
BEFORE YOUR CLASS- Please make sure to provide your correct email address at checkout as this will be used to contact you before your class with helpful information on how to find the studio and parking on the day, but also so that you can choose your yarn base. If you do not respond to this email with a yarn selection you will automatically be allocated sock yarn for the class.
Your yarn choices:
Fingering/ Sock weight yarn details: 75% Superwash Merino / 25% Nylon 425m per 100g
OR
DK weight yarn details: 75% Superwash Merino / 25% Nylon 225m per 100g
Due to the preparation of materials needed for this class, class bookings are non-refundable, however if in the unlikely event of the class not taking place all workshop participants will be given the choice of having a full refund or an alternative future workshop date, whichever they prefer.
Please be aware that if future additional dates are added for classes or workshops this is usually due to a previous class being sold out. Workshops are not transferable once booked.
This class is suitable for anyone over the age of 12 but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
