Mosaic Crochet Workshop

Learn the basics of the overlay mosaic crochet technique in our Oulton Broad based yarn studio.

By the end of the class you will have worked the Piece Of My Heart mosaic crochet square, a pattern by Abi McIntyre.

You will need to know basic crochet techniques, how to work a chain, double and treble stitch.

Your Workshop instructor:

Jan has been crocheting for more than 50 years, working mosaic crochet for the past 6 years and has been a test crocheter for @getyerhookon crochet patterns for the past 4 years. A retired Design Technology teacher, Jan has a wealth of knowledge that she loves to share when it comes to crafting!

Jan has permission from Abi McIntyre to use the Piece of My Heart crochet square pattern for this class. Abi (Get Yer Hook On) has an amazing catalogue of crochet designs that you can find over on her website. Jan will have a selection of blankets on display on the day so you can see what you can create if you’re inspired to start your own blanket after the class!

Saturday 13th June 1pm - 4pm

Where:

Folk Yarn Studio, Mobbs Way, Oulton, NR32 3AL 

What you get:

3 hours of mosaic crochet tuition. Your workshop includes all materials. You will receive enough yarn to make your square in class, the printed pattern, a stitch marker, refreshments during your class and 2 x 20g hand dyed DK Mini skeins of yarn to make another square at home.

What you need to bring:

Just yourself, crochet hooks are available to use in the workshop, and available to purchase after if you wish, but if you have a 4mm crochet hook you’d prefer to use you’re welcome to bring it along. 

BEFORE YOUR CLASS- Please make sure to provide your correct email address at checkout as this will be used to contact you before your class with helpful information on how to find the studio and parking on the day.
Due to the preparation of materials needed for this class, class bookings are non-refundable, however if in the unlikely event of the class not taking place all workshop participants will be given the choice of having a full refund or an alternative future workshop date, whichever they prefer. 

 Please be aware that if future additional dates are added for classes or workshops this is usually due to a previous class being sold out. Workshops are not transferable once booked. 

This class is suitable for anyone over the age of 12 but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Workshop attendees must know basic crochet, how to make a chain, and work a double and treble crochet stitch (UK Terms).
